co odkládal jsem celá staletí,
dosud jsem netroufal si,
ale dnes za tebou poletím.
A už mě nezastaví moře
ani žádná pohoří,
ukážu světu, co se stane,
když srdce zahoří.

Zahoří plamenem,
jenž překážky v cestu promění,
zanechám lože rozestlané,
až se rozední.

A nevadí, že nevím,
mám-li vůbec nějakou naději
a že mi kdekdo říká,
abych zůstal raději.
Vím jen, že už nic není,
tak jak bývalo,
viděl jsem rozednění,
když se stmívalo.

Stmíval se obzor
a já jsem k němu vykročil
a od té doby jdu
a cesta nekončí.

So today I am going to do
what I have postponed for centuries,
